WASHINGTON (TND) — As Hunter Biden was grilled by reporters on Capitol Hill Wednesday, someone appeared to take a jab at the president's son's history of drug abuse.
“Hunter, what’s your favorite type of crack?” a voice called. Hunter did not appear to acknowledge the question.
It is not immediately clear who the questioner was.
When asked again “are you on crack today?," Hunter turned away from the voice, appearing to confer with his security entourage. He did not give an answer.
The questioner later repeated the demands, asking “what kind of crack do you normally smoke, Mr. Biden?”
Hunter has a history of struggling with drug abuse and was accused of being responsible for cocaine found in the White House last summer. The White House refuted this theory, saying “the Secret Service is not able to compare evidence against the known pool of individuals."
Hunter made a surprise appearance on Capitol Hill Wednesday as Republicans work to hold him in contempt of Congress. The House Oversight and Judiciary Committee will vote Wednesday on a contempt resolution that could aid Republicans in pushing to impeach President Joe Biden.
If the resolution passes, it will go to the House for a vote before being handed over to the Department of Justice to prosecute.

The president’s son intentionally defied a congressional subpoena in December, instead giving a press conference in which he decried those investigating President Biden’s alleged connection to his business deals.
“For six years, I have been the target of the unrelenting Trump attack machine shouting ‘Where’s Hunter?’ Well, here is my answer, I am here,” he told reporters.
Contempt of Congress is the crime of obstructing the work of Congress. Those found guilty may serve up to 12 months in prison and face fines ranging from $100 to $100,000.
